Caronia of Cunard Steamship Co. Ltd. built 1948

This most legendary luxury liner was one of the first built mainly for cruises, with transatlantic crossings only a minor role. Caronia was the first Cunard liner painted shades of green and so she was nicknamed the "Green Goddess". She followed a familiar pattern of annual cruises worldwide from 1949 until sold from the Cunard fleet in 1968; in the 1960s this included an annual call at Port Everglades. Remained in service until 1974.
