==========================================================================

This simulation is the contemporary railroad scene in South Florida,
including Miami-Dade (left), Broward (center) and Palm Beach (right)
counties.

The trains running on each route are color-coded. Each equipment set is
numbered according to its registry number in the A-Train "Schedule"
window.

Summary of Train Operations:

Registry Operator Route (South to North) Color

#1/2/3/4 Tri-Rail Miami Airport -> Mangonia Park Yellow
 5/6/7/8

#9/10 Amtrak Miami -> West Palm Beach Blue
                        and Points Beyond (off map)

#11/12/13 Metrorail Dadeland South -> Okeechobee Gray
 14/15/16
 17/18

#19/20 CSX Hialeah -> West Palm Beach
and Points Beyond (off map) Red (Freight)

#21/22 FEC Hialeah -> West Palm Beach
and Points Beyond (off map) Blue (Freight)

#23 FEC Local Hialeah -> Port of Miami Blue (Freight)

Who says you can't have two A-Train lines cross each other?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The FLORIDA EAST COAST RAILWAY (FEC) and CSX Lines enter from the north
(right) end of the layout.

FEC is the single track line closer to the Atlantic Ocean.
Stations/yards shown are West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Pompano Beach,
Ft. Lauderdale, then the freight line turns west ending at FEC's Hialeah
Yard. The former passenger line was double-track and continued south
to the FEC station in downtown Miami at what is now the site of
Metrorail's Government Center station. What remains is a spur line to
the Port of Miami.

The CSX main is used by Tri-Rail, AMTRAK and CSX. They can be
distinguished by color and by their intermediate stops. Originally a
single track line, it is s-l-o-w-l-y being double-tracked. From north to
south, these are the stations/yards shown on the CSX line. Each 'X'
indicates where routes make a station stop in the simulation:

                    Tri-Rail AMTRAK CSX
  Mangonia Park X X
  West Palm Beach X X
  Boynton Beach X X
  Delray Beach X X
  Boca Raton X X
  Deerfield Beach X X X
  Pompano Beach X X
  Cypress Creek X
  Fort Lauderdale X X X
  Hollywood X X
  Golden Glades X X
  CSX Hialeah Yard X
  Miami AMTRAK Station X
  Metrorail Transfer X
  Miami Airport X

METRORAIL's elevated route begins at Okeechobee Station in Northwest
Miami (near Metrorail's maintenance facility in Hialeah) and ends at
Dadeland South. Intermediate stations shown are Tri-Rail Transfer,
Allapattah, Civic Center, Government Center (downtown Miami),
Brickell (south of the spectacular Miami River bridges), and University.
